Douche director Matthew Wilder made the following statements in August when it was first reported that Lindsay Lohan was being replaced by Sarah Scott. Wilder needs to eat his own words and go sit in a corner like a bad boy now that he HAS replaced Lindsay Lohan with another actress Malin Akerman.

Sarah Scott moved on to star in a new romantic comedy titled “Sam” with Chris Klein.

1. “We never considered recasting Inferno, and never would recast it.”

2. “These stories are completely unfounded and untrue: the producers have been, and continue to be committed to Lindsay in this lead role and are confident that there is no actress that can achieve the dramatic level we require of this role other than Lindsay.”

3.  “There is no truth to these rumors whatsoever - Lindsay Lohan is still our number one choice.”

4. “Look, even if Angelina Jolie wanted the role we would still be sticking with Lindsay Lohan, I can’t make myself any clearer than that.”
