Most if not all of you had no idea that James Dean had a boyfriend. Bill Bast the gentleman obviously on the left of Sir Ian Mckellen was Dean’s longest relationship. The secret romance went on for 5 years. Back then you had to really hide your sexuality and not show any emotion towards someone of the same sex in public, especially if that someone was a “Straight” movie star such as Dean.
