Since the surprise emergence of new director Chris Wietz for Twilight’s squeal New Moon it seems more surprises might be in store for Twilight fans. At first when Robert Pattinson was cast in the film fans were so upset at the casting choice but now since seeing the film they couldn’t imagine it any other way. Since the second book deals with a more mature and grown up character for Jacob Black Summit Films has been contemplating on whether or not to replace Taylor Lautner. If they did Michael Copon would be their next pick. It’s looking very likely that they will recast the character for Jacob Black from what I’m finding out. Look at the Batman films! They replaced the lead role of Batman in almost every film from Michael Keaton to Val Kilmer to George Clooney to Christian Bale. The casting for the Batman empire has gotten better and better and has made more money in every new film that has been released. I do like Taylor a lot but if his character is much older in the next film and more manly, production doesn’t want to waste money on cgi and makeup. They got a new director after all!
